Introducing the Tissot Seastar Collection
The Tissot Seastar is a range of dive watches that is part of Tissot’s wider collection of sports watches. Tissot is a Swiss watch brand that was founded in 1853, and has since become known for its high-quality and affordable timepieces. The Seastar collection was first introduced in the 1960s as a range of waterproof watches, and has since evolved to include modern dive watches with water resistance ratings of up to 300 meters (1,000 feet). Today, the Seastar range features a variety of styles, from classic and minimalist to bold and sporty, all designed for the rigors of underwater exploration.
Tissot – a brand with a sporting heritage
Today Tissot has links with many premier sports including MotoGP and the Tour De France. Their connection with petrol sports began when Swiss driver Harry Zweifel sent a signed photograph to Tissot in 1958. On it he had written “Meine Tissot ist an jedem Rennen dabei” – translated “My Tissot is by my side at every race”

An ISO Certified Diver’s Watch
As with many superlative diving watches it conforms to ISO 6425 (2018) – making it a fully certified diver’s watch. The Seastar 2000 can be trusted for your deepest dives down to a depth of 2000 feet (60 bar). With it’s readable hands and indexes coated with Super-LumiNova® – it’s brilliantly bright even at the deepest darkest depths of the ocean.
Affordable Swiss Quality
If you’re looking for something around £200 – £300 then there’s the Tissot Seastar 1000. Nice used examples of this attractive dive watch can sometimes be found for under £200. That’s a heck of a lot of Swiss quality timekeeping for not too much money.
Alternatives to Tissot dive watches
If the Tissot brand appeals then please also consider a diver’s watch from either Sinn, Oris, Doxa or Longines. Like Tissot, the range of Sinn dive watches in underappreciated and sometimes even overlooked in favour of better known brands. Most popular in their dive watch collection are the Sinn U1 (1000m), the Sinn U2 (2000m & dual time) and, our favourite, the Sinn UX range with HYDRO technology.

Oris Dive Watches
Next we’d recommend a trip over to the Oris Dive watch collection. The most popular models in their dive collection are the Oris Aquis (WR to 300m – 1000m) and the Oris Divers Sixty Five (WR to 100m). A collection of competent timepieces with a product for all users from outdoor beach life (Oris Sixty Five) to full on professional diver (Oris Aquis Depth Gauge).

The Doxa Sub range
If nothing their grabs your attention then wander over to the more traditional, yet equally desirable range of dive watches from Doxa and Longines. The range of Doxa dive watches are, like Bell & Ross and Sinn, instantly recognizable due to the dynamic designs. Most popular in their dive watch collection are the Doxa Sub 200, the glorious Doxa Sub 300T (with no-decompression bezel timer) and, our favourite, the reborn Doxa 600T built from marine grade stainless steel.

Longines – affordable Swiss luxury timepieces
Finally, but by no means least, we have Longines – a company with a long relationship promoting outdoor life, sports and adventure. Like Rolex, Blancpain and Breitling – Longines, entry in to Diver watches goes back to 1959! The new Longines Hydroconquest is their most desirable timepiece. A watch dedicated to men and women who demand high end performance from their timepiece without compromising on technical innovation and elegance.
